Blobs: numerical optimization of correct criterion now seems to work. Still to 
do:
        - use better optimizer - the current one blows up too easily.
        - experiment, make sure the potential really is invariant for dicing 
the surface
        - experiment with potential shape and parameters
                - connect surface to python for this
        - correct boundary conditions.
