Hi list,

instead possibly
"use media label as media name"?
"use media label as name of entry"?
"use media label as name in catalog"?
As yours remarks, I've just renamed any reference to a storage disk by
the "media" word.
The above sentence is became "Use media volume label as disk name (only
when disk name is empty)".
On a different note:
Zero, could not the zlib library be used in future to get that as
yet missing metadata about those files in ZIP archives?
I think that zlib only works with GZIP archives not ZIP archives. :-(
OTOH, perhaps it could
be just enough to run "unzip -l somearchive.zip" (other archive
formats as
needed) and grab the list from stdout.
I don't like this solution for two reasons :
- the user must install unzip to get the feature
- the execution of an external program is expensive in execution time
and memory...
I would like to find a simple function to list all sub files and their
informations of a ZIP archive. Or I would like to find a library which
do it, which is licensed under the GPL and which runs under GNU/Linux,
MS Windows, BSD, OS X,...
