Sorry, I sent this draft message out prematurely.  This entire paragraph
should have been removed.  The reason for my sensitivity is not relevant
anyway.

Of course, we cannot hope to do more than to make our best effort, and
moreover, volunteers are not obligated to expend any effort at all.
