I think it's a good idea.
Having to wait for a bug report acknowledgement before using `git
send-email` is pretty annoying, but losing `git am` would be terrible :)
It wasn't clear to me how to achieve this change, but I'll re-review the
discussion in <https://bugs.gnu.org/25969>.
