What on earth does "ice-9" mean?
it's a kurt vonnegut reference. you can grep the archives for a message
by Tom Lord, the term's originator (wrt guile). i think Tom's vision
remains valid, but it's taking a long time to realize it, speaking of my
personal efforts. in guile's case, the carrier substance, coordinated
ubiquity, is missing from the equation. or perhaps it is there alright
but, like the ocean, the salinity makes it unpotable.
no worries, at least the code is free software.
