yes, vacation (from the net) was wonderful!  got a lot of stuff done,
somewhat messily in some places but hey blame it on the mediterranean
ocean.

tarball under http://www.glug.org/tmp/2002-08/ -- not coincidentally,
the peer directory 2002-07/ has also been removed.

best way to use this is to start w/ something like:

  tar xzf guile-1.4.1.2.20020727.tar.gz
  cd guile-1.4.1.2.20020727
  ./configure --prefix /tmp/a/b/c [other options here]
  make
  make check
  make install

if you are interested in the (just added) documentation and (new
experimental) doc maintenance system, see notes at:

and consider converting a .texi file to .twerp for easy creds.  remember
to do some testing by modifying an upstream source file docstring and
verifying that your changes propagate to /tmp/a/b/c/info on "make &&
make install" (anything less automatic is a bug).

bonus points for process improvements or documentation, of course, but a
quick trot against current apps w/ thumbs-up/down review is also very
much appreciated.  see also the latest task list:

i note that the taxi drivers have run over a stop sign and removed
scan-api and have written a poem asking the appropriate Question, but
that's not in this particular tarball.
