Yes, DSSSL is basically a superset of the functional (side-effect-free) cor of R4RS. Kawa includes some of the extensions of DSSSL, including keywords and #!optional and #!rest argument. XSLT carries forward many of the ideas of DSSSL, but using XML syntax and adding a compact pattern language (XPath).
