Well, it is a new port as far as I know. The build systems has installed
cygwin just for the shell (to run configure/libtool) and GNU make.
Compilation is done with the Visual C++ command-line compiler. The final
executable should run on systems without the Cygwin runtime environment.
It runs fine on the build system (Cygwin), but since I haven't tried it on
a system without Cygwin yet I added that remark - haven't investigated if
plain Windows supports `/' dir separators yet, but I think it actually does.
