And... Now that there is a campaign to bring order to tmac, the mm macros
should have the option to read local modifications from
[...]/share/groff/site-tmac/mm/[language_]locale and not from
[...]/share/groff/[version]/tmac/mm/locale and friends, where, obviously,
are not local nor protected from version upgrades...
