This is a bit nit-picky, isn't it?  The rules of the European
Commission regarding to `one official Euro symbol' are a bit in the
curvature-of-cucumber category IMHO.  What two-letter symbol name do
you suggest?

Basically about both input and output.  Iconv will be used on both
sides.
