Soldering preferred, but not required.
And most use the same mini-DIN connector. Once you have a shim cable
with DB-9 and mini-DIN or JST you are set. Funny that no one sells
same that has the PPS pin connnected. I could certainly build a few
for anyone that cared.

I have never had any problem with pulse width. At least since gpsd
was fixed for small pulses long ago. I do have problems with a
lot of serial input not handing the 'TTL" levels from some GPS.

They are still on the USGlobalSat products page. They are quick to
remove old products.

If you order with extreme care you can get them. Just be sure your vendor
does not ship the wrong one.

Yes, but no PPS, and crappy sensisivity.

No. No PPS. I have one here. Someday I'll break the sealed case and
fix it.
