  Sounds to me like it is XMMS that is having the problem, not GNUMP3d.

  Can XMMS play these files normally?  (Via a local file for example)

  That's the correct thing to do.  (Incidently if you could list the
 proper mime type to use then I'd be happy to add it to the file).

  Really file types aren't handled very much by the server itself,
 as you say it's a HTTP streamer really.  The only thing that the server
 cares about the suffix for is to lookup the correct mime type to send.

  I would check that you're using the file correctly by looking at
 the 'mime_file' setting is pointing at your copy - but more than
 that I'm afraid I'm not sure about.

  I am assuming that MP3's / OGG's are working correctly?
