The tournament is this weekend. It looks like the consensus
is that it is fine less than half the time. Can I assume that it
is fine this time? If so I will register.

I would advocate this on the grounds that SlugGo is an
interesting experiment, and the results might be
interesting to see. Of course the same statement applies
to GoFigure but I would suggest letting SlugGo have a
shot since GoFigure has already participated in a KGS
tournament.

I don't mind as long as GNU Go gets to play in at least some
50% of tournaments.  Or ``important'' tournamets, whatever
those might be.
