It works for me. Can you elaborate on what indications you have of
failure? Have you any more modifications than CVS plus my patch? If
you add a "gprintf("random seed: %d\n", random_seed);" directly after
the call to gg_srand() in reset_engine(), how does that output relate
to the seed you provide with -r in respective case?
