In the very near future, CVS head will break for Forms (and implicitly
Designer) so we can do some restructuring that we've been putting off
for a while.
Please do not update against CVS head and then ask why forms isn't
working :) You will probably get a very short stock answer.
If you are using forms in production and want to stay abreast of the
stable version, you will probably want to update your CVS tree to look
at the 0.4.x branch, instead of CVS head.
This can be done by (assuming you are in the gnue/ directory):
$ cd forms
$ cvs update -r forms-0-4-1-branch
$ cd ../designer
$ cvs update -r designer-0-4-1-branch
This will isolate you from the unstable main trunk. When you wish to
return to the main trunk, you can a
$ cvs update -A
from the main gnue/ directory. This will remove the CVS "sticky"
attributes that labels files as branched.
This assumes you are using the stock cvs command-line tools. With any
other tools, your mileage may vary.
We will detail the upcoming changes in another thread very soon. Expect
major advances in Forms 0.5.0.
Thanks,
-- Jason
