I can say I've ran into the issue with ciphered videos when working
on shellTube-- when I finally got the right cipher from the appropriate
JS file, it changed on me overnight. :/
The ciphers change regularly, probably as an attempt to "protect" some
uploader's copyrighted content (like copyright soundtracks, etc) from
being downloaded.
