smsd and scandinavian characters cout out problem

Hello All,

Does anybody know what might be wrong when scandinavian letters are cut out.

My system:
Ubuntu 9.10 (english  version)
Gnokii version 0.6.28 (downloaded the zip file a couple days ago)
MySQL database with UTF8 unicode character coding.

I tested with Nokia 6210 + serial (dlr3p cable) and Nokia 6021with bluetooth connection.

Attached is the log output. The log has the question marks at the end of the message, the characters should be öäåÖÄÅ
