you mean I should be able to connect using a serial connection!?

Let me just describe what exactly I'm doing. Maybe it is something trivial.

1) I plug in the DKU-2 cable into my USB port under XP SP3.
2) The 6230i asks if I want to use it as external storage device. -> I 
say no.
3) The windows new hardware wizard comes up -> I say cancel
4) In a DOS window I type in:  gnokii --config gnokiirc --identify  and 
I get:
   the following (com2: to com9: don't work at all).

Any idea what could be going wrong ?
