you're giving too little information :-)

1. are you using gnokii 0.6.16? If not upgrade now from 
http://www.gnokii.org/downloads.shtml so if a fix is needed it will be 
included in 0.6.17 due for next week 
2. did you use irdadump to confirm that your infrared connection is working?
3. did you enable debug = on in your gnokiirc? Does it print an error message?
4. if you get a segmentation fault see
