nokia 3120b with gnokii 0.6.8 -- can it work?

Subject: nokia 3120b with gnokii 0.6.8 -- can it work?

I am trying to use gnokii 0.6.8 with a Nokia 3120b. My host OS is WinXP so I
built gnokii under cygwin with the '-enable-win32' option. This went Ok and
gnokii.exe was created.

I run gnokii.exe in a cygwin window.

My 1st attempt was 'model = 3120', but that resulted in something like
"unsupported model".

I then tried various other models, but they all resulted in "init failed,
device not ready'.

I then tried 'model = AT' and get the ouput below (stays the same for
serial_baudrate = 19200, or serial_baudrate = 115200 which is the baud rate
that XP reports for the port).

Nokia's PC Suite connects to the phone as a serial port without error.

I am using a CA-42 cable.

My _gnokiirc is attached.

Is the 3120 similar to any supported model so I could use the technique
described at  http://www.gnokii.org/faq.shtml#newphone  ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Avery
