An overview for the tree phone's softwares.

Gnokii : That is focus on the nokia phone.
            That supported other protocol.(include GSM modem)
            Most is writing use ANSI C.
            Have an useful gui interface.

            * The problem that is : Still not stable. (from CVS)
            * The library is including all of support driver, so it is largest.

MyGnokii : That is base on the gnokii 0.33. But for now, it has some different
            between with gnokii. It have most gnokii's good things, and cut bad
            things.

            Have not GUI Interface.

            * easy API and user interfaces.
            * all is in the struct.
            * It is Stable .

Gsmlib : That is focus on the AT/GSM Modem. Only AT.
            Writing use C++.

            Have not GUI Interface.

            * Not Stable. (some time it crash without error in my iPAQ)

iPAQ-Phone: first i use the gnokii with it. it can works, but crash in some
        times, So I stop and Switch to other.

            Now I use the mygnokii.

            I write an daemon with mygnokii library, that commucation with
GPRS/GSM modem. The iPAQ GSM/GPRS sleeve can report the signal level battery
level without query, So I change the mygnokii, use Asynchronous input model.

            I write an RPC protocol. That use for commucation between the
gui/cli and daemon.It make easy to lock some value. and that is platform
independ.

            First I write an gtk gui for it.It can run in GPE . In Thu, 5 Sep
2002 16:51:08 +0200 Oliver Fels <address@hidden> tell me, I start to use opie
toolkit. When I have time, I will continue the GTK/GPE gui.

thanks.
