0.3.3 hanging

Hi,

Dug out an old 486 laptop and put gnokii onto it with:

Linux Slack based, kernel 2.2.6
0.3.3 tgz and rpm packages

I do gnokii --identify and it works, but doesnt return control to the comand 
line (until Ctl-C). This happens on all options (eg reset, getmemory)...

Tried several cables and 5110 phones (diff firmware) and same problem...

What can I try?
