Hi Sam!
I'm a new user of gNewSense (PC-Desktop). I've read about metad and I want to update from gNS 2.3 deltah to metad, because important functions like wifi and graphic card (VGA only) are missing. I've already installed Ali's Linux kernel 2.6.30.7-libre-fshoppe1 ...

Welcome. I'm afraid there's no upgrade path from deltah to metad and metad was mostly targeted at the Lemote Yeeloong anyway.
Is Lemote the most favourite system of gNS?

Are you certain your wifi and graphics card are compatible with free software? Perhaps a newer Linux-libre image from FS Corsica [1] can help.

Thank you, but when I try to install the linux-header
(http://www.fscorsica.org/gnewsense/linux-headers-2.6.37-libre-planet_2.6.37-libre-planet-10.00.Custom_i386.deb)
I got an error message that said: "Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libc6"

But there's no newer libc6 in repository (v 2.7-10ubuntu8).

Can you add the needed version to the repository and/or the libre-kernel-2.6.37 LKOS for gNewSense, both headers and image?

Thanks

Wesley
