Ah well i didn't know that so sure i'd agree with you there.

Forums - love them or hate them! With well chosen sections forums are
very good although it's a bind having to read through loads of threads
sometimes. Worth making them private (i.e. have to be a member).
Compared to a 'list'? If lists were organised so folk were instructed
how to post they do have the advantage of being easier to read and not
involving navigating one's way through sections (i set up a spare
email address for discussions otherwise one's main email is full of
stuff that gets in the way of personal important stuff).

Ubuntu has started lists and i think they are more popular that the
forum - the ubuntu forum simply got too large.

Perhaps start a list and see how that goes and then maybe switch to a
forum if all folk agree.
