On a related matter: it looks like there are still some glitches in the KFV process. For example, the above file is listed as a false positive [4] (as noted in the bug). That list was compiled before this KFV, but it doesn't give any indication why those files are not non-free.
There's also a difference of opinion or thoroughness, again compare [2] and [3]. I'm not pointing any fingers or saying that I'm right in this matter. I just see this as an indication that [5] needs some more TLC. For example, the "sourceless blob" section of KFV Flow should be detailed. I'm in doubt if the flow chart is still a good tool then, because it's getting kind of big.
I don't know if anyone besides Brian regularly checks the bug list. It now looks like he's the only one dealing with bugs at the moment. It's not a problem that he has the final word, because he's usually right. But some more discussion and input probably wouldn't hurt.
