You know more than I do, then. I just know that there were people in
the Debian community working on identifying all the pieces. I think a
lot of people were of the ambivalent variety.

People do like having their devices work.
People like freedom.
People don't like having to choose between the two.

gNewSense goes further and removes everything its users find. I'm not
entirely sure that it's *everything* but as soon as something is found
it is patched and removed.

It might be fun to run the builder scripts against Gobuntu and then
run a diff--that would show you what has been removed.

I haven't the time, but that would be the best acid test.
