while looking at another flash application (patch series following
shortly) I found this hack from quite some time ago and decided to
send it to the list since I'm unlikely o find a better fix on my
own.

Looking at tower defense games I stumbled upon GemCraft. It starts
up nicely in gnash but unfortunately is unplayable, because most
objects on the map aren't draw.

The following two patches illustrate the problem and provide a work
around that allowed me to enjoy the game using gnash.

Please review the problem. Hopefully a real fix can be developed.
