This is some more information of the issue (haven't tested on Gnash yet):

A single SWF file that got loaded on the SoundCloud player page while playing
was http://a1.sndcdn.com/swf/soundmanager2.swf
(My test SoundCloud page was
http://soundcloud.com/mattnorrisandthemoon/i-saw-three-ships )


Which, according to GNUWin32's file command output:

soundmanager2.swf; Macromedia Flash data (compressed), version 8

It should be able to play in Gnash, as Flash 8 uses only AVM1.
So this might be a bug in Gnash as the original submission states.
