So I just followed the directions in the comments to make their own code be under the GPLv2 or later clauses. Some of the other headers are copyright Apple I noticed, those of course I left as they were.
I don't disagree with the license change, but the copyright should still be attributed to the copyright holder (which is not the FSF). Bastiaan
