Gaius,
Thanks. That's fine now. Well, I can compile "Hello World" anyway!

Hi,

I've just built gm2 under Jessie into a debian package. Hopefully
this allows gm2 to be installed under later Mint and Ubuntu releases.
So I think it solves the problem of:

  loading shared libraries: libmpc.so.2: cannot open shared object file:
  No such file or directory

that has been reported to the list.

The addition to your /etc/apt/sources.list would be

#
#  GNU Modula-2 repo
#

deb http://floppsie.comp.glam.ac.uk/debian/ jessie main
deb-src http://floppsie.comp.glam.ac.uk/debian/ jessie main

and then:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gm2

Gaius

Gaius,
I've just installed gm2 with apt-get and I get the error above.

I've tried both the Jessie version and the Wheezy one.

I do have /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmpc.so.3 but not .2 anywhere.

John
Hi John,

finally fixed - I found a build script error which included a wheezy
package. Now rebuilt gm2-1.1.3 rev'd the minor package number and
installed on floppsie

Gaius
