Gaius, are you running a subset of the tests and, if so, which ones?
Inspired by your comment, I ran "gmake check-gm2" in gm2-4.7.3 and was
rewarded with the following results.
# of expected passes 5538
# of unexpected failures 2131
# of unresolved testcases 1381
