This means that the 'rpmtrans' module which Yum is looking for is not
present in your system. If you had installed Yum from a FC6 RPM, then
this is most likely a bug. However Fedora Core 6 is not maintained any
more so, what you can do is:

+ try to grab the latest RPM update of Yum from any Fedora Core 6
mirror that is still available
+ or, take Sagar's offer and update to Fedora 8
