You know what, we already meet their requirements. ;-) Let me explain...

Few days back me and Indranil Das Gupta of ILUG-Cal.org hatched the
idea of having 'regional mirrors' for countries deprived of bandwidth.
eg., India. Since a mirror with approximately 2 Mbps of bandwidth,
located in India, looks quicker than a 100 Mbps foreign mirror for the
Indian user it makes sense if we enlisted these slower mirrors on the
official list but restricted them serve users in that particular
region in which they are located.

Initial tests indicate that our GNU mirror is already as fast and
sometimes even quicker than the ones in USA, Europe and Australia.
These tests were done from Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore, which are
reasonably far away from Hamirpur. So we have enough reason to
believe we can do a good job for the Fedora mirror as well.

Moreover, WBUT (http://wbut.ac.in) hosts a similar mirror
(http://mirror.wbut.ac.in) in Kolkata. This one has a 2 Mbps
connection, like us, and if you look at the statistics for it
(http://mirror.wbut.ac.in/awstats/awstats.pl) you will be quite
impressed. Interestingly, to maximise the user's downloading
experience, they have restricted the number of simultaneous
connections to 5.

So till the time there are no >= 100 Mbps mirrors in India, Fedora is
happy enough to allow us onto their official list as long as we
restrict ourselves to India.

Most of this conversation happened in Kolkata and in Bangalore during
FOSS.in and hence unknown to you. I apologize for the confusion. :-)

Yes, we do need to have a hyperlink to
http://fedora.glug-nith.org/linux/ like the others. Also the mirror is
not showing up on my mirror list, which it should since I am in India.
I keep getting the Chinese, Japanese and other South East Asian
mirrors but not http://fedora.glug-nith.org/linux/ This needs fixing.
