Apologies for the very late reply.

Thanks for the patch.

I'm simultaneously working on 6.4, a patch release, and 7.0, which will have
much more major changes.  I'm inclined to merge this into just 7.0, and
edit this a bit to also define GLIBC for LINUX.  I'm concerned about merging
it into 6.4, since it touches the traditional FreeBSD configuration stuff,
which I can't really test.

Is that OK?
