I use it with Cygwin on WinXP, and ./configure always works properly. So probably your Cygwin has some libraries missing. On my PC I don't have ATLAS installed but the generic BLAS library from Cygwin default installation settings works fine.

- Dear Terry,
- I used getfem on both Linux and Windows. In order to have getfem running on Windows under Cygwin
- you should have some BLAS library available.
- I don't know what exactly you configure script told you, but it was probably absence of BLAS library.
- I, personally, give a preference to ATLAS, a kind of automatically tuned BLAS that you can compile and install under Cygwin (takes time to compile but no real work).
- In case the problem was different, before running ./configure you should try running autogen.sh , which creates a correct ./configure script.
- Success,
- Andriy

- Hi,
- I am trying to use getfem++ on windows XP.
- Have cygwin,
- Have Borland C++ compiler,
- Have Visual C++ compiler.
- The sh ./configure for a basic install under cygwin does not work.
- Has anyone had success in trying to get getfem++ to fly on Windows.
- Prepared to spend some time (and to document for others) if I can get some pointers.
- Regards
- Terry Hendicott
