Where does -e come from ? Could you, please, post gconf settings
for /desktop/gnome/applications/terminal/exec
and /desktop/gnome/applications/terminal/exec_arg keys ? These can be
obtained using gconf-editor.

If /desktop/gnome/applications/terminal/exec_arg keys = '-e', could you
try to reset it to empty value - maybe it'll be a workaround we are
looking for...
