This is in the TODO list from what I know there is also a request of it
in the bugzilla to be able to do such a action for compressed files.

This I am not sure what exactly you mean. Maybe you could bugreport it
as a enhancement and explain a little more of what you are looking for.

This option can be set depending on what you need. If you look in the
keyboard shortcut help you can see that there are various options you
can set yourself. These bindings are then set in the Settings->Keyboard
Shortcuts.

Example: Home directory is set here on my machine to Ctrl+grave which
moves me to the home directory of the user.
