Howbout a CTRL+<key> switch to 'display filename only' ? The same key again ->
normal filelist (with permissions date etc).
This would be useful for long filenames, especially in combination with huge
fonts (for disabled, or large screen).
An additional switch could be 'one pane alone' mode, to extend the filelist
width to whole window.
