Agreed. After so many years !

Here are my 2cent (tm):

(1) We live in the age of widescreen notebooks. They are rapidly spreading.
They have something like or 1280 x 800 (most cheap ones), 1440 x 900, 1680 x
1050, 1920x1080 (ideally ratio of 16:9 or 4:3).

(2) I think a project must find a balance between power features, and GUI, but
the GUI is the door to good workflow so it's equally important.

With a larger user base, gnome-commander will get more recognition. If a
project or software gets recognition, or even fame, it may also attract
additional help from other developers, for example, simply because more
developers use this filemanager.

Not to talk about the fact that Piotr (hopefully) can show it up to demonstrate
his skill, shall he ever be asked by NASA or the White House to code their
scratchy edge space explorers or the Moon Lander Software.

I realize that a smart GUI is less important if you work with shell commands
and keyboard shortcuts. But think of all the Ubuntuus.
