Great !

Some month ago, Magnus posted a shellscript
providing a very rudimentary mimetype editing interface.
It just manipulates the content of the users ~/.local
folder. This is the freedesktop thing, Magnus wrote some
lines about that on the gcmd homepage, in doc section,
and we had several discussions about mimetypes
onlist, you can search the archives, but this is not
required since freedsktop is really simple to grok.

@ Magnus, would you re-post the latest version of your script ?

I think this is a most urgently needed feature, and
shouldn't be difficult to realise. If you're unfamiliar with
py-gtk then you could of course use any graphical interface,
like FLTK, zenity, ncurses/dialog or whatever. I think, once
the logic is working, migrating the thingy to gtk2 later shouldn't
be difficult.

@ Piotr, IIRR there was a link to py-gtk docu ?

I'm not in Python but i will try to grok it ASAP and i think you
can get help from this list anyway, for any questions.

Greets, Micha

ps.
J2, i think i don't need to CC you personally anymore, then ?
And would you please be so kind to tell some real name, or at least
a nickname...i can't feel comfortable with a char and a number, hope
you can accept that.
