yea that's true. A warning for more than say 5 files ?
Why 5? Why should anyone decide? It is a limitation.
If you want to compare 2 or 3 images, hit F3 for each,
not that hard to do. Now imagine you want to browse
a big slection of a dir, or browse a selection (or all)
from a recursive search in the F9 search window, or a
(sorted)selection from a sorting by custom columns, or
maybe 10-20 files in a saved "cart".
Think further, imagine F3 to be able to handle more
formats, maybe ogg. I do not want to hear 5 tunes
playing at the same time.. Or think about a fullscreen
presentation at a silverscreen in a big room full of
people (fullscreen like Gimp F11).
I think this approach meets most usage scenarios:
*If multiple selection made = Show first file and fw/bw
works only on this selection. Also think that selection
can be made from ordinary file list, the search list,
and the future "cart".
*If no selection made (single file) = Show this file
and fw/bw works on the hwole current dir.
*F3 allways opens a new viewer window, just like today.
