Every six months we have an election for Chairperson and Treasurer of
Manchester Free Software. The time has come for this election process to
start again.

Candidate nominations for both positions are now open. People may
nominate for themselves or others. Nominations should be sent to both
address@hidden and address@hidden Nominations must be submitted
before Sunday 9th May 2010.

The Chairperson is responsible for meetings, general co-ordination and
is the group representative at various events.

The Treasurer handles the finances for the group as well as potentially
dealing directly with the bank. As a result, the Treasurer should be
over 18 years of age.

There will be a short period to confirm whether those nominated will be
standing. The candidates will then be announced on or by Wednesday 12th
May 2010.

The voting schedule is as follows:
* Nominations submitted before Sunday 9th May 2010.
* Voting opens on Wednesday 12th May 2010.
* Votes to be submitted before Wednesday 26th May 2010.
* Votes tallied, result announced.
* Meeting + handover (if necessary) on Tuesday 15th June 2010.

Further details regarding the voting will be sent out nearer the time.
