[Freetype] FreeType2 and .otf

Hi,

I'm having some problem with the OpenType Fonts (.otf) and FreeType 2.  
FreeType seems to get the vectorial information incorrectly from my 
AGaramondPro-Regular.otf file.  The difference between a glyph 
generated by a text editor and the same glyph rendered by FreeType is 
demonstrated in the following picture:

Has anybody found problem with .otf files with FreeType?   I'm using 
Mac OS X (10.3.5) with GCC 3.3.
