Nice! Note, however, that FreeType 1 is no longer supported in any
way. I strongly suggest that you move on to FreeType 2, since in the
last 15 years or so there were zillions of bug fixes.

freetype.org itself only hosts web pages. The git repository of
FreeType is located on savannah.nongnu.org, and you can register your
project there in case your license fits – given that you are deriving
your code from FreeType, it definitely should :-) It's then easy to
add a link to the freetype.org web site.
In case Savannah is not the right place for you, you might try
`repo.or.cz'. Finally, there is github and similar hosts, in case you
like this kind of workflow (which I don't).
