Hi Behdad,
  Okey, I checked Android KitKat (Android 4.4) and we have "harfbuzz-ng present in "android/external". Old Harfbuzz is also present, I have not checked which one is really used as facing some compile issues for Kitkat on my machine :(

Right.  The old HarfBuzz didn't have swash enabled by default IIRC.

That actually happened in the version before KitKat (4.3?) I believe.
