Sorry for your inconvenience and Great thank you for
providing the patch. I want to ask another help from
you - it seems that you're dealing with PostScript,
and there's any testing program

It seems that the change you focused was introduced
about 1 year ago, I guess freetype-2.3.7 is ok, but
freetype-2.3.8 (and later) is not ok for you.

        nor bitmaps can be considered as containing space `glyphs' only.

        `glyf' table but a non-zero `loca' entry.
        (tt_loader_init): Handle missing `glyf' table.

        * src/base/ftobjs.c (FT_Load_Glyph): Undo change 2008-12-05.

        * src/sfnt/sfobjs.c (sfnt_load_face): A font with neither outlines
        nor bitmaps is scalable.

I have to check your patch does not break Savannah bug #25010.
Please wait a while, maybe I cannot fix it within this year.
