Oops!  I had a similar feeling, and I've checked the ChangeLog file,
but I couldn't find the right entry.  Reverted, thanks.

Looks very nice!  I'll apply it soon -- if David objects he is then
forced to actually change the code :-)

I'll also apply your patch to retain symmetry of the letter `m'.
