Hello,

this addresees the issues brought up by Jouk in his earlier posting 
concerning this topic as well as some small compiler issues found in 
2.1.3.

vms_make.com: * Removed the hard-coded /float=ieee/name=(as_is,short) again.
                This is not required as a hard code (actually it does make 
                compilation on a VAX impossible). All such options may be 
                easily passed to vms_make.com via the ccopt commandline
                switch (all of the switches are now documented at the 
                start of the procedure)
              * Make case sensitivity in options file depend on as_is 
                flag to cc
              * Made Zlib an optional add-on with default no Zlib.
              * Generates now descrip.mms in both the main directory
                and [.src.gzip] (with appropriate defines for 
                FT_CONFIG_OPTION_SYSTEM_ZLIB in the latter one)
                Further MMS files will be added in future revisions of 
                vms_make.com
src/gzip/ftgzip.c * Processing is much clearer if <zlib.h> used for 
                    "System" Zlib case. If I do read the CVS correctly
                    this patch already has been applied.                 
src/type1/t1load.c * Minor compilation issue

Concerning the demo programs, there is one minor issue in ftview.c
