Hello Riccardo,

I had the same problem on MacOS X.  I solved it by commenting out
"#define FT_MACINTOSH 1" in include/freetype/config/ftconfig.h.

did anyone compiled the library on macosx ?
Compile is ok for me after a ./configure, but when linking with a
main(), I have the link error : undefined symbol : _FT_New_Face

cannot explain that ! it seems that some #define are not correct on that
plateform....
