I just want to add that you should have the bytecode interpreter
enabled.  For patent reasons, it is disabled by default.

I know that, but for patent reasons, we can not enable it by default either, can we ?

I mean, we will redistribute Freetype inside VTK (http://www.visualizationtoolkit.org/), which is OpenSource. Still, what would allow us to enable it ? I'm confused by that issue.
